There has been a major incident in Brighton Hill where cables have been damaged due to ongoing roadworks. Currently, various locations across Basingstoke – including Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital – are suffering from telephony and internet outages.
Due to two of our locations (Beggarwood and Gillies) having telephone issues, all calls are being directed to St Andrews and Essex House. This will undoubtedly mean that telephone call times will experience delays. We have enacted our business continuity plan to help us manage the situation and respond to our patients as quickly as possible. We expect for these issues to be resolved within the next 24 hours.
In the meantime, patients with an urgent care need can:
- walk into any of our four sites and talk to one of our reception staff face-to-face,
- receive help and support via our Dr.iQ app,
- can either call and wait (which we appreciate will take longer today),
- contact 111 if they have an urgent need that cannot wait,
- call 999 for life-threatening emergencies.
