We are aware of increased waiting times on the phones and wish to apologise for this. This is due to low staff numbers and increased sickness.
We are working incredibly hard, in both the reception team and the management team to combat this. Many of the receptionists are coming in early and staying late, and the senior management team are also taking shifts to answer calls.
Recruitment of permanent staff members has been difficult, with most not turning up to interview, or deciding last minute not to join us – but we have taken temporary members of staff to help us over Christmas and New Year and are working with recruitment agencies for a longer term solution.
I understand it is very frustrating waiting on the telephone, but I want to impress how seriously we are taking this and how hard we are all working behind the scenes to make things better.
